Will Westerners want to fly on China-made jumbo jets? Right now there may be some carryover perception about the quality of Chinese high-tech goods; by 2030 when the aircraft are rolling off the factory floor, it may no longer be an issue. You can bet Airbus and Boeing are watching these developments closely, as the Asian markets are their primary growth opportunities, and a local brand/aircraft will be a major challenger if it is a suitable option.
